“A heartfelt thank you to our friends at the George Naim Khattar Foundation, and everyone who supported this year’s Grant A Wish Gala. I was thrilled to welcome so many new people into our Wish Force, and to see the overwhelming support for wish child Domenic – who’s better known as Iron Boy. As Domenic shared, a Make-A-Wish wish can have a truly profound impact on the lives of children facing serious illness.
Many more life-changing wishes will now come true for really sick kids and teenagers, at a time when they need it most – all thanks to the outstanding fundraising throughout the Gala event.
Thank you again to everyone who came along to the Grant A Wish Gala for being part of a truly impactful evening, and to everyone at the George Naim Khattar Foundation for your amazing support.”
JESSICA MAUBOY, Australia’s favourite singer/songwriter/actress gave an electric performance of songs from her runaway screen hits The Secret Daughter and The Sapphires at the GNK’s GRANT A WISH Gala on 24th February 2017 at Le Montage.
The GNK Foundation’s glittering black tie event is renowned for bringing together Sydney’s business and community leaders who pay tribute to the humanitarian spirit of George Naim Khattar, former director of Dyldam.
The sold-out event included a heart-warming first-hand account of the power of a wish from a young Make-A-Wish® Australia child, performances from rising star Britt Maggs, live and silent auctions, and three course gourmet dinner.
Celebrities who supported the Gala include Carla Zampatti, Michael Usher, Jarryd Hayne, Cameron McIntosh, Natalie Barr, and Tim Blackwell. Celebrity chef Miguel Maestre entertained guests with an impromptu participation in the live auction.
A night of great entertainment, gorgeous gowns, gourmet dining and above all a good cause – granting wishes.
